Chris Beazley
CEO, MS Amlin AG

Having started in the insurance industry at Willis in 2001 as an Upstream Energy broker, Chris joined Amlin in 2007 to start up their Singapore operations as Managing Director and Principal Officer.  He returned to the UK in 2010 and held various roles within Amlin London’s Marine and Reinsurance divisions before being appointed Head of Strategy and Global Clients for the Reinsurance Strategic Business Unit.  In 2016 he was seconded to the London Market Group as CEO, returning to MS Amlin as CEO of MS Amlin AG in September 2018.


Albert A. Benchimol
President & CEO, AXIS Capital

Albert A. Benchimol serves as President and CEO of AXIS Capital, a global leader in specialty insurance and reinsurance. He is responsible for the strategic oversight of the Company’s global business operations, which span 30 locations across 12 countries. Under his leadership, AXIS has increased its focus on expanding its global underwriting platform to both established and emerging markets to ensure the Company provides specialty risk solutions in every region in which its clients operate.

One of the insurance industry’s preeminent thought leaders on specialty risk, Benchimol – along with the AXIS leadership team – has helped establish the Company as an industry innovator and expert at helping its partners manage complex risks in today’s transformative marketplace. AXIS is also a responsible global citizen that has developed community-based charity programs in each of the markets in which it operates.

Mr. Benchimol has more than 25 years of insurance industry experience. He joined AXIS in January 2011 as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Benchimol was appointed President and CEO of AXIS in May 2012, having joined its Board of Directors in January 2012. Prior to AXIS, he was at PartnerRe Ltd. from 2000 to 2010, serving as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and concurrently as CEO of PartnerRe Ltd.’s Capital Markets Group business unit from June 2007 through September 2010. Mr. Benchimol also held senior management roles at Reliance Group Holdings Inc. and at the Bank of Montreal.


Sheila Cameron
CEO, Lloyd's Market Association

Sheila Cameron is currently the Head of International Operations for Navigators, and with effect from January 2019, she will become the Chief Executive of the Lloyd’s Market Association (LMA).  The LMA represents the interests of the Lloyd’s community, providing professional and technical support to its members, as well as lobbying of various interested parties. 

In her current role as Head of International Operations at Navigators, Sheila has responsibility for leading operational and change management activity for the Navigators businesses in Europe, Asia and Latin America.  Prior to Navigators, Sheila was Director of Group Operations at Hiscox and held a number of roles at Xchanging, including COO of its claims business.  Sheila began her career at the management consultancy Accenture.  


Greg Collins

CEO, Miller Insurance

Greg was appointed as Chief Executive Officer in 2017 and chairs Miller’s Group Executive Committee. Greg joined Miller in 2004 to lead its professional risks business. He was appointed to the Miller Board in 2007, became COO in 2011 and subsequently Deputy Chief Executive in 2016. Greg is on the board of The London and International Insurance Brokers' Association (LIIBA). Greg has worked in the insurance industry since 1977 and prior to Miller he was a director at a leading global risks insurance broker.

Anthony Croydon

Account Director, London Market Account, DXC Technology

Anthony Croydon has been working in the London Market since 1986. Initially with C.T. Bowring Reinsurance in broking followed by 4 years underwriting with Uni Storebrand. In 1995 he joined the LPC Ltd, the company bureau, to specifically promote the technology with underwriters for the London Market’s entry into e-Placing. He has since worked on other significant market projects introducing electronic claims agreement for Lloyd’s, use of a repository to provide claims files, central accounting process modernisation and take-up of ACORD messaging. In 2001 he was involved in the formation of the Joint Venture Xchanging Ins-sure Holdings that bought Lloyd’s and Company bureau services together which now operates as a DXC Technology Company. Market organsiations recently signed a new five year deal for all central services and Anthony is focused on ensuring customer value from the services as they are today and will be in the future.


Andrew D'Arcy

CEO, Faraday Underwriting

Andrew was appointed Chief Executive Officer in September 2017 having joined Faraday as Chief Financial Officer in 2014. Prior to joining Faraday, Andrew was Finance Director of Starr Managing Agents Ltd which he joined as Chief Actuary in 2010. He has previously held roles in Newline and Watson Wyatt.


Thomas Deane

Director, Stonybrook Capital 

Tom Deane is a Managing Director and investment banker working for Stonybrook Capital in New York. He’s spent his career focused on transactions in the US property Cat and personal lines space, within the Lloyd’s market and specialty insurance in both Europe and North America. Tom started his career working for Benfield Advisory in London where he worked on several Lloyd’s start up opportunities. This was then followed by an 8 year stint at JLT split between London and New York. The focus in London was Lloyd’s capacity and M&A followed by a number of homeowners transactions in the US. In 2017, Tom was hired by Stonybrook Capital and was promoted to Managing Director in early 2019.


Michael Gould

Group COO, Brit Insurance

Michael is Group Chief Operating Officer at Brit Insurance, where he joined in September 2018.  Prior to joining Brit, Michael was Chief Operating Officer at Talbot, working closely with the business to develop their operational capability.  Michael has previously also held the position of Group Chief Operating Officer at Hiscox, and senior positions at Aon and American Express. He is playing a key role in the London Market’s Target Operating Model (TOM), where he chairs the Structured Data Capture initiative. Michael also advises a couple of insurance starts ups.


Jon Hancock
Director of Performance Management, Lloyd's

Jon Hancock joined Lloyd’s as Director of Performance Management in December 2016 where he has responsibility for performance management, capital setting and risk management in the Market. He joined Lloyd’s from RSA where he had enjoyed a career of over 25 years with the insurance company, starting as a Marine underwriter in their Liverpool office. Working across UK Regions, the London market as well as many years overseas, he has held a variety of Chief Underwriter and Risk roles in both developed and emerging markets prior to becoming Chief Executive Officer for their Asia & Middle East businesses. His most recent role was Managing Director of the UK Commercial and European Specialty Lines businesses and Global Relationship Director for the RSA Group.

Greg Hendrick
CEO, AXA XL

Greg Hendrick is Chief Executive of AXA XL, the P&C and specialty risk division of AXA.

Previously, he served as President, Property and Casualty of XL Catlin where he also held a number of senior positions including Chief Executive of Reinsurance, Chief Executive of Insurance, Executive Vice President of Strategic Growth, President and Chief Underwriting Officer for XL Re Ltd and Vice President of US Property Underwriting for XL Mid Ocean Reinsurance Ltd. 

Before joining XL Group, Greg was Assistant Vice President of Treaty Underwriting for the Winterthur Reinsurance Corporation of America.

He received his Bachelor of Science degree, Summa Cum Laude, from St. John’s University in 1987 with a major in Mathematics.  He is married with two children.


Karl Hennessy

CEO Carrier Solutions, Aon UK

Karl is CEO of Carrier Solutions.  This group supports to grow Aon’s propriety network of managing general agents and managing general underwriters to better deliver innovative products, streamlined transaction processes and access to new and diverse sources of risk capital.  Karl works with carriers as well as broking leaders and reinsurance colleagues around the world to further develop and execute the global strategy for MGAs and MGUs.

Karl joined Aon in 2007 becoming CEO for Aon UK’s Global and Specialty client account operations in 2010 and subsequently CEO for Aon’s London based Specialty and Wholesale Global Broking Centre in 2014, also sitting on the Aon UK Limited Board.  Karl went on to be President of Aon Global Broking and Karl sits on the Aon Risk Solutions Global Operating Committee overseeing strategic broking initiatives such as Aon Client Treaty.

Karl started his career in the late 80's at Fenchurch International Lloyds Insurance Broker as a London based Property and Casualty wholesaler before moving to Lloyd Thompson in 1990.

At LT and subsequently JLT he held a number of positions including Co-Head of Alternative Risk and President of Capital Risk, a boutique New York Based JV specialising in Structured Credit and Alternative Risk Transfer, before joining Aon in 2007.

 
Dominick Hoare
CUO & Active Underwriter, Munich Re Syndicate

Dominick Hoare is the Chief Underwriting Officer of the Munich Re Syndicate (formerly the Watkins Syndicate), which is managed by Munich Re Syndicate Ltd. He has more than 30 years’ worth of experience in the Lloyd’s market and is a Chartered Insurer.  He joined the Munich Re Syndicate in 1994.

The Munich Re Syndicate is a leading provider of Specialty insurance in both the Lloyd’s market and in the International market.  In addition to the responsibility for the underwriting function of the Munich Re Syndicate, Dominick Hoare also has responsibility for the underwriting function of the Group’s overseas offices including Dubai, Singapore, China and the USA.

He is also a Director of Munich Re Syndicate Ltd and Munich Re Specialty Group. A past Director of Lloyd’s Market Association, a past Chairman of both the Offshore Energy Committee of the International Union of Marine Insurers and the Joint Rig and Associated Business Committee in the London market, and until recently was a member of the Executive Committee of the International Union of Marine Insurers.

He was recently elected to the Council of Lloyd’s.


Hatem Jabsheh

COO, IGI

Hatem Jabsheh is IGI’s Chief Operating Officer. He joined the company in 2010 to head IGI’s investment department.

Hatem began his career in 2001 with Spear, Leads, and Kellog, a subsidiary of Goldman Sachs. He worked in several pits as a CBOE (Chicago Board Options Exchange) and CME (Chicago Mercantile Exchange) as a primary market maker. He then moved to Amman, Jordan in 2004 to set up Indemaj Financial, an asset management and brokerage company. In 2006, Hatem setup Indemaj Technology, an open-source web development company, which was later sold in 2012. After successfully selling Indemaj Financial in 2009 to a publicly-traded investment bank, Hatem joined IGI to head their investment department.

In 2011, Hatem spearheaded a major project to revamp and upgrade the technology infrastructure at IGI, with the backing of IGI’s Board of Directors. Hatem replaced many of the legacy systems and introduced additional software to increase efficiency and cost savings. The IT department now represents 10% of the total workforce at IGI., and is considered a fundamental function in its operations. Hatem, eventually, turned the IT department from a cost center to a core service center.

Hatem’s professional career of 17 years spans executive roles in the asset management sector and reinsurance, all underscored by an aim to promote innovation and transformation. He is actively involved in the tech community, promoting disruption within the reinsurance industry.

Clare Lebecq

CEO, London Market Group

Clare Lebecq is CEO of the London Market Group. Prior to that, Clare was with JLT Speciality, part of the Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group providing wholesale and retail insurance broking, risk management and claims consulting services, for seven years as their COO.


Kate Markham
CEO, Hiscox London Market

Kate joined Hiscox in June 2012 to run the UK Direct business, leading a team of over 200 people across three locations with accountability for sales, marketing, operations, and underwriting. Having built UK Direct into a market-leading operation with a strong brand and a culture of creating customers for life, Kate was promoted to the newly created role of Chief Executive Officer of Hiscox London Market in 2017. Prior to joining Hiscox, Kate worked for Vodafone for 12 years. As Head of International Enterprise at Vodafone, she identified a significant new opportunity to serve multinational clients globally and built an effective operation to support the venture. Kate started her career at Anderson Consulting (now Accenture).


Jonathan Parry

CUO, QBE Re

Jonathan Parry has worked in the Lloyd’s and London Reinsurance market for 38 years. He started his career as a reinsurance broker for Wigham Poland in 1981, before moving to Steel Burrill Jones in 1985. He joined Alexander Howden in 1989, which became Aon Group Ltd. He progressed to Executive Director at Aon in 1999. Jonathan moved from the broking side in 2000, when he joined Syndicate 566 as Deputy Retro Underwriter to Peter Grove. He became Syndicate Deputy in 2002 and succeeded Peter Grove as Active Underwriter for the 2005 Account, becoming Managing Director of the Reinsurance Division in 2007. He was appointed CUO for the Reinsurance Division of QBE European Operations in 2010 and holds the same position within the Global Reinsurance Division which was formed in 2012. The Global Reinsurance Division writes approximately US$1.1Billion and has offices in London, Tokyo, New York, Brussels, Bermuda and Dublin.


James Vickers

Chairman, International, Willis Re

James has been with Willis for nearly 40 years, joining Willis Re in 1978 as a broker handling Asian Non Marine Treaty business.

As Chairman for Willis Re International his specific responsibilities include strategy and client development as well as senior client relationship management, particularly in the Japanese market. He is also a member of Willis Re’s Operating Committee, which is responsible for the managing all aspects of Willis Re.

James is also a Director of Willis Group’s principle UK subsidiary, Willis Limited, along with a number of other Willis Group Subsidiary Companies. He has extensive practical experience in the analysis, structuring and placement of large complex reinsurance programs and strong relationships with the senior management of all major global reinsurers.

James is a Chartered Insurer, an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute and Chairman of the London International Insurance Broker Association (LIIBA) Reinsurance Sub Committee.
